CRITERIA
100% of the chair needs to be covered in paint and varnished, including underneath
all chairs must have the Bronte lighthouse logo within the design
INTENT
The purpose of the art installation was to entice visitors to Bronte and locals to the local shopping area, create ‘ah ha’ moments of wonder and discover for visitors, encourage people to be outdoors, and encourage people to be outdoors.
According to brontecreek.org, some of the significant plant species in Bronte include Sassafras and Sycamore trees, Black Eyed Susans, and Trilliums - which are the 4 plants I have incorporated into the design. The pattern would be painted on all sides of the chair.
