For Furniture Design and Fabrication, at Sheridan College, I made a side table.

The table is made of ash. It measures 16"L x 16"W x 24"H. I drew out the design in 1/4 scale, then made a 1/4 scale model with ash. The table's top and shelf are attached by hand-made buttons. It is dyed with a steel and vinegar mixture, and finished with boiled linseed oil.

This table will continue to be a learning experience as I watch the wood expand and contract over time. And the visible glue stains will serve as a reminder to do a better job of cleaning it off next time.
